Hello,
I'm currently running a cpxDeepMSA and was wondering how long the average runtime for jobs like this is?
I saw that there is a standalone version for download, and was also considering setting this up. Would it be possible to tell me whether this can more efficient, or what kind of platform I need to run this efficiently? I'm also asking because I'm considering running jobs with sequences slightly longer than 2000 amino acids.
Thanks a lot in advance,
Kind regards,
Jakob

Re: cpxDeepMSA
Hi Jakob,
As my experiences, the runtime can vary significantly depending on the length and complexity of your sequences. For sequences around 2000 amino acids, it could take several hours to a day. Running it on a local machine can be faster if you have the right hardware setup. I found that a machine with a powerful GPU significantly reduces processing time. Hope that'll useful to you.
