I am currently studying the succinate dehydrogenase (SDH) complex, which is a hetero-tetrameric protein complex composed of four different subunits: SDHA, SDHB, SDHC, and SDHD (corresponding to Chains A, B, C, and D).
I would like to predict the 3D structure of the full SDH complex using only the amino acid sequences of each subunit.
Do any of your structure prediction servers (e.g., I-TASSER, D-I-TASSER, COTH, SPRING) support multi-chain or hetero-oligomer modeling for such complexes?
If multi-chain modeling is not supported, could you kindly recommend any tools (within or outside your platform) that are suitable for accurate sequence-based prediction of multi-subunit complexes like SDH?
Thank you very much for your time and guidance.

Re: structure prediction
Dear user,
Please try DMFold, which can model multimer structures. You can send your sequenses to https://zhanglab.comp.nus.edu.sg/DMFold/.
Best,
Xi

Re: structure prediction
For accurate multi-chain modeling of hetero-oligomeric complexes like SDH, I-TASSER, D-I-TASSER, COTH, and SPRING do not natively support full multi-chain complex prediction. However, the DMFold server—developed by the same group as D-I-TASSER—is specifically designed for protein complex structure prediction from sequence, including hetero-oligomers. It’s your best bet for modeling SDHA–D together from sequence alone.
